Websites like the ones linked
below are few and far between when searching for news sites, even though they produce
many great articles, have merit to their arguments, and have valid information.
The reason that sites like these are hard to find is because they generally have
unpopular opinions and they criticize and question the government on a frequent
basis. To some, these websites would even be considered unpatriotic and
unamerican. This is truly a shame though, because even if they share an
unpopular opinion, they make many passionate, valid, and meaningful arguments
that many news sites no longer create in favor for mass production entertainment
pieces. I also think that their could be some government influence being used
to keep stories like these out of the main stream media, as promoting anti-war
messages to the entire country would go against the America governments strange
obsession with having a large army with a large budget, and it may also lead to
more questions about America’s strange need to be involved in other countries
affairs in the Middle East. Maybe there is some truth to that, or maybe these
stories are ignored for some other reason, but what I think is truly
unpatriotic is that we don’t advocate for more stories like these that give a
voice to a alternate point of view.
